Could you talk to us about the Drowsy Chaperone?
First off, the Drowsy Chaperone is SO much fun! Second, if you're looking for a good laugh or a great night out, I highly recommend coming to see this show!
Essentially, the Drowsy Chaperone is brought to life by a man who has never actually seen the show and then begins to pictures it in his mind. He tells the story of Janet Van De Graaff, an emerging star, who is deciding if she is going to be leaving the stage for love. Along the way, there are a few twists a turns before the audience finds out if she leaves the stage life and gets married.
How has Starlight allowed you to grow?
Starlight has helped me grow by pushing me out of my comfort zone. A lot of people don't know this, but I really don't like talking in front people. With the help of Starlight, I have gained more confidence and self esteem because they believed in me. The people at Starlight encourage me to believe in myself and have motivated me to do things I never believed I could do.
What do you like to do when you’re not performing or working on a show?
I love spending time with my family. I've been married for 10 years and my husband has been so supportive! He is always telling me to do what I love but I'm sure on the inside he's thinking, “Please just stay home for once.”I always value the moments where I can relax and hang out with him.
Also, I have the most awesome nieces and nephew and I love getting to spend time with them too!
