The Cast
Paul Hartwell (Donald) has been performing in the valley for the past 4 years. Previous shows at Starlight include: A Christmas Story (Black Bart/Tree Salesman) and The Pajama Game (Sid). During quarantine, Paul rediscovered his love for reading and playing guitar with his lovely wife, Samantha (who is the best singer ever) and playing with his dachshund, Peggy. However, he missed acting more than all of that and is thrilled to return to the stage and have a new wife for a change. Enjoy!
Harleigh Irizarry (Betty) is thrilled to be back on stage once again, in a new way. Some of her favorite roles include Grace Fryer in Radium Girls and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. She would like to thank Dan and Susan for helping her grow as an actress as well as Paul for putting up with her antics. She'd also like to thank her family and boyfriend for showing their endless support for her. Enjoy the show!
The Production Crew
Dan Ashlock (Co-Director) – Dan has directed Mamma Mia and The Pajama Game (Starlight), Puffs!, Oliver, Spamalot, Seussical, Moon Over Buffalo (DST), and Farce of Habit (Trilogy). He has performed in productions in Arizona, Kansas, Pennsylvania and Maryland including Murder in the Heir at Starlight. Special thanks to Dan Marburger for writing this play and trusting us with the premier.
Susan Gibson (Co-Director) has directed many shows, including The Addams Family, Avenue Q and Legally Blonde. She also enjoys being on the stage and was last seen in Dracula. She is very excited to be co-directing this show with Dan Ashlock and would like to thank him for this opportunity. She has also really enjoyed working with Paul and Harleigh. Enjoy the show!
Samantha Hartwell (Stage Manager) is excited to be back inside Starlight. She has previously been on stage in a couple Starlight shows as well as DST. This time she's working behind the scenes! Sammy is a Marketing Specialist by day and fitness competitor and artist by night. On the weekends she enjoys recording "intentionally" poorly performed song covers with her husband Paul Hartwell for their YouTube Channel "Couch Concerts" which was conceived from the mild insanity caused the quarantine.
Heather Riddle (Costume Design) is a stay-at-home mom of 5, wife, part-time nurse, piano teacher and business owner. She has performed in six shows at Starlight and has costume designed for even more. She is thankful to the production team and cast for this opportunity and is grateful for her extremely supportive family and her husband who always is encouraging and is her #1 fan.
Mike Rippenkroeger (Set Building/Design) has been building Starlight sets since 2011 and has enjoyed transferring his years of construction experience to Whoville, Macy’s, Avenue Q, Greece and a few hotel rooms along the way. Thank you to Dan for let him participate in the premiere of Holy Matrimony.
Michelle Johnston (Set Design) has been a part of Starlight for over 6 years now when she painted her first set for Beauty and the Beast. When not designing enchanted woods or stately living rooms she's managing her team of investigators at MUFG Union Bank. She's been in financial crimes for over 20 yrs and retired from the US Army reserves in 2016 after 26yrs of service.
Nate Loucy (Lighting Tech) has been involved with Starlight since 2016 with roles in several plays and the children's workshops. He is excited for his first time working behind the scenes as a light tech. He would like to thank Starlight for the opportunity to learn this new skill.
Sariah Riddle (Stage Crew) is 13 and a 7th grader at Prenda Microschool. She loves to bake, play the piano and is an amazing babysitter (I mean big sister...) to her younger siblings. She loves to be on stage but is excited for this opportunity to help backstage.
