Camp Rising Star 2021: Mary Poppins Jr.
June 7-19, 2021
Our premier summer theater camp will feature Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS JR. Your favorite practically perfect nanny takes center stage with all the colorful characters in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious adventure based on the award-winning Broadway musical and classic Walt Disney film. Participation is limited and all roles will be available for audition.
June 7-19: Monday-Friday Camp meeting in person at Starlight to experience all the preparations for putting on a musical! Kids arrive at 9:00 a.m. and be dismissed at 3:00 p.m. Kids should pack a lunch for a daily lunch break.
June 18-19: Performance days! June 18 starts at 9 a.m. and campers stay through 6:30 p.m. performance. June 19 will have two performances - one at 2:30 p.m. and one at 7 p.m.
Registration opens March 15. $249.99 until April 30. $299.99 from May 1 to May 31. Ages 6-18 are welcome to register. Campers will prepare a 1 minute Disney song to sing for a virtual audition a few days before Camp starts. Aftercare available for a nominal fee from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Theater Boot Camp
July 12-16, 2021
The "Theater Boot Camp" is designed to teach campers age 8-16 about a variety of theater skills from auditioning and dancing for the stage to prop making, set design and costuming. Come and refresh your theater know-how - or learn something new! There is a showcase for family members on Friday, July 16th at 1:30 p.m.
