Our Artistic Director and Managing Directors handle most of the day-to-day operations for Starlight. Although they work closely hand-in-hand, these two positions have specific duties. The Artistic Director is responsible for the productions and events, while the Managing Director deals more with the business side of the theater.

Broadway Production You Most Want to See in Person (Time Travel is Allowed!):
I have been fortunate to see many Broadway productions in person, but the one that I wanted to see in person more than any other show was the 1997 original Broadway production of SIDE SHOW. It has a rich score and starred many of my favorites including Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Norm Lewis and Jeff McCarthy! And what's not to love about the show business exploits of Siamese twins?
Our governing board is comprised of volunteers, who serve a three-year term. They generally focus on big-picture direction for the theater, while still staying up to date with the current season. The board meets once per month, and all board meetings are open to the Starlight membership. The most recent board minutes can be found here.

Most Embarrassing Role in an Elementary School Play:
I had to play BOTH The Cow that Jumped Over the Moon and the Cow in The House that Jack Built in 8th grade for a show we took to multiple elementary schools. Being a girl, playing a COW in 8th grade....a real self-esteem builder!

Not in elementary school, but in high school, we put on a one-hour condensed version of As You Like It by Shakespeare where I had to play both Dukes that talked to each other which consisted of me removing different colored capes and removing and re-applying stick on facial hair from Spencer's Gifts while on stage.

Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. She is creative, she craves attention, she is hard-working and business-minded. She loves Sweeney even when he is difficult, even when he is murdering. She is thrifty, she is sarcastic, she is comforting when necessary.

I played a toy in my 4th grade Christmas program. I had to dance while wearing a huge cardboard box that covered me from my head to my knees.

Most Embarrassing Role in an Elementary School Play:
Not elementary school, but I was playing Yente in Fiddler on the Roof. I hadn’t been on stage since college so I was a little nervous. I was singing "The Rumor" and I sang about Tevye marrying his DAUGHTER Tzeitel and going off to live in NEW YORK!!! I saw the director throw the script up in the air, shaking his head.
